Finding Your Way Home on the Holey Path to Holy Living
Ahh, here we are at the Super/Blue/Eclipse Moon. The Sacred Feminine in all her glory. Are you feeling it? Supercharged with energy, this moon especially reveals what lies hidden within us, old drama and issues (I’ve been feeling this for a week, have you? ) and new desires and inner callings. Hidden motives, emotions and intentions are suddenly appearing with clarity. It also exposes our highest values. Are you in alignment? When you see the moon reflected in water you supposedly see beyond three dimensions into five, an opportunity perhaps to glimpse into your future. Why not try it. Go tonight where you can see the moon reflected in water or get a bowl of water and position it where you can gaze at the moon’s reflection. Let it reveal to you your inner most desires, let it dissolve past hurts and wounds. Ask for alignment with your values. Do feel the gravitational power calling you home to yourself? I hope so.
This time of year is full of universal symbolism. For good reason. For example, we are asked to take the 40- day journey of Lent, a time of self-study, reflection, introspection, prayer, forgiveness, moderation or the giving up of something as self-discipline, of good works, charity and generousness of spirit. It is also the time of Imbolc, or St. Brigid’s Day, originally a Gaelic festival honoring the Celtic Goddess of the same name, the protector of hearth and home. The festival symbolizes the coming of spring and includes divination of the weather just like Groundhog’s Day. There is the visiting of holy wells with water taken and used to bless and protect. Fires and candles purify and cleanse.
You get the idea. Energetically we are in a historical pattern of using this time of year to prepare the way literally for spring and figuratively for going inward, revealing, healing, cleansing anew, all for your Rebirth and just in time for the crocus to peak through the ground.
